KIT Custom HomeBuilders is actively hiring Chassis Welders, Painters, and Assemblers to join our Chassis Department. Help build the structural foundation of every home we manufacture while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.

Beginning August 31, 2026, eligible production employees will transition to a NEW Monday–Thursday work schedule (6:00 AM–4:30 PM), giving you a three-day weekend every week while maintaining full-time pay and benefits.

What You’ll Do
• Perform welding on chassis frames and structural components (MIG preferred)
• Operate welding equipment to assemble and repair metal components
• Assemble chassis components including frames, axles, tires, and related parts
• Install floor dollies/wheels and related components to chassis units
• Apply paint and coatings to chassis and structural components
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
• Use spray equipment and tools to ensure even and consistent coverage
• Read measurements and follow basic layouts for accurate assembly and welding
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and production standards are met
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals

What We’re Looking For
• Welding experience strongly preferred (MIG preferred)
• Painting, assembly, or manufacturing experience is a plus
• Ability to operate welding equipment, spray equipment, and basic tools
• Ability to read measurements and follow basic instructions/layouts
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Additional Requirements
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
• Must follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements

Schedule
Until August 28, 2026
  • Monday–Friday
  • Week 1 (Training): 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • After Training: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Overtime and occasional Saturdays as production requires
Beginning August 31, 2026
  • Monday–Thursday
  • 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Three-Day Weekends Every Week!

Pay & Benefits
Starting at $24.00+/hr. DOE (higher for experienced welders and skilled trades)
