Physio Recovery Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. This is a full-time position focused on delivering exceptional care in an orthopedic outpatient setting. Our state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet sports medicine facility features advanced equipment and technology designed to support effective treatment outcomes. At Physio Recovery Center, we primarily accept private insurance, ensuring that our clients receive the best care without added financial stress. Work Environment

The position is onsite at our Norfolk facility, where you will collaborate with a close-knit team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). The work schedule is set from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a structured yet dynamic workday that balances patient care with professional development. In this supportive environment, your expertise will shine as you help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with patients to identify their individual rehabilitation goals and develop personalized treatment plans that encompass a variety of therapeutic methods.
  • Utilize manual therapy techniques and exercise regimens to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and overall mobility, while reducing pain and discomfort.
  • Evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Document all patient care services thoroughly, maintaining accurate records in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
  • Motivate and educate patients on maintaining a healthy lifestyle through strength and conditioning programs, emphasizing the importance of physical fitness.
  • Consult with interdisciplinary health professionals to deliver cohesive and effective patient care.
  • Monitor the effects of ongoing treatments and communicate changes with patients and other healthcare team members.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients, focusing on those requiring orthopedic rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. By fostering strong therapeutic relationships, you will play a vital role in guiding each client through their journey towards recovery and improved physical health.

Qualifications
  • DPT (Doctorate in Physical Therapy) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a valid Virginia physical therapist license, with no disciplinary actions on record.
  • Strong foundational skills in manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems such as WebPT for efficient documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
  • Experience in developing fitness and wellness programs tailored to diverse patient needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience.
