Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years + of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department
  • Experience with creating parts from just a design or blueprint
  • 5 years of experience with hands on manual machining.
  • 5 year of experience with manual Lathes is a MUST
  • Experience Mills and Grinders is preferred
  • Experience manufacturing tooling fixtures
  • Experience reading blueprints and work instructions in English
  • Experience with measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components 
Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to:
  • Standing- Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking- Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Sitting- Occasionally/Intermittent. Lifting- Up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally/Intermittent. Carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally/Intermittent Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs
Responsibilities
  • Review, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
  • Select appropriate machines  ( Lathes, Mill, grinder) and load material
  • Select tools and cutting conditions.
  • Define and manufacture tooling fixture/JIG required to manufacture the parts.
  • Check output to ensure consistency
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
  • Operate the machines safely
