Job Summary:
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for tracking and maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring that inventory levels align with company needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
· Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock accuracy.
· Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
· Label and organize inventory in designated storage locations.
· Update inventory databases and software systems to reflect current stock levels.
· Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to manage stock replenishment.
· Identify and report any inventory shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
· Assist in preparing inventory reports for management review.
· Follow company policies and safety guidelines when handling stock.
· Support warehouse operations, including packing, sorting, and moving inventory as needed.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse, or supply chain management preferred.
· Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
· Basic math skills for counting and reconciling inventory.
· Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment:
· COLD Warehouse Food facility.
· May require standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.
· Possible exposure to temperature fluctuations depending on the storage environment.
