Job description

Internship Overview
The City of Temple Internship program is open to students from all academic disciplines. Many intern roles within this program do not require previous experience and will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in addition to your course curriculum. As an intern, you will be assisting departmental teams on projects and services during an unpaid, part-time internship. You will be assigned an intern mentor who will help to
identify project goals, inspire, and mentor you, and support your professional/educational development correlated with your coursework.  As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on assignments core to the City of
Temples business, whether it be Customer Service, Parks & Recreation, Finance, People Operations (HR), Legal, Planning, or Marketing. If selected, our intern
recruitment team will determine where you fit best based on your Curriculum Vitae and the preferences you indicate on the application form.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program, or currently enrolled in a Master's program
  • Completed at least twelve (12) credit hours in courses relative to departmental function
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater (upload transcripts with application)
  • Must receive internship credit from a formal education program or institution (upload class syllabus and institutional requirements of the internship with application)
