About the Role

As a Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing, developing, and optimizing our private cloud infrastructure. Working closely with our technical team, you will ensure the high availability, security, and performance of our critical systems and networks in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain our private cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on high availability, scalability, and resilience.

  • Network Operations: Manage and monitor networks, including the configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network equipment.

  • Security & Compliance: Contribute to implementing advanced security measures to protect our infrastructure against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Cross-team Collaboration: Partner with development teams to provide a stable, high-performance environment for our applications and financial services.

  • Automation & Efficiency: Participate in automating operational processes and optimizing workflows to drive efficiency.

  • Support & Incident Management: Respond to incidents and technical support requests, ensuring fast and effective resolution.

  • Documentation: Contribute to documenting configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure deployment consistency.

Travel & Shift Requirements
  • Location: Hybrid (Secaucus, NJ / Manhattan, NY / Remote)

  • Travel: 1 to 2 times per month to our offices (NY) or data centers (in New Jersey).

  • On-Call Support: Rotational on-call duties outside of standard business hours and weekends.

  • Weekend Work: Rotational weekend shifts, primarily on Saturdays.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in managing private cloud infrastructures or in a similar systems/network role.

  • System Administration: Hands-on knowledge of system administration, including Linux and Windows server management.

  • Core Concepts: Strong understanding of virtualization principles and computer networking fundamentals.

  • Protocols: Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN protocols is a strong plus.

  • Soft Skills: Fast learner, autonomous, with a strong team player mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
