Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) at the Clinical Nurse II level to join a dynamic healthcare team serving the Pacific Northwest coastal region. This role is essential in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care within an outpatient infusion setting. The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical skills, specialized certifications, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:
    • Perform thorough patient assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored care plans.
    • Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and intervene as necessary.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide safe, efficient, and timely care.
    • Advocate for patients by maintaining dignity, confidentiality, and providing empathetic support.
    • Educate patients and families on medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle adjustments.
    • Promote evidence-based practices in outpatient infusion therapy.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to infection control and regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission and OSHA.
    • Proactively identify and report safety concerns.

  • Documentation:

    • Serve as a resource for best practices in outpatient infusion care and act as Relief Charge Nurse or Lead when needed.
  • Emergency Preparedness:

Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum of two years as a Registered Nurse in an outpatient infusion center, oncology unit, or similar clinical environment.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse patient caseloads involving common medical and surgical conditions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting requiring quick decision-making and teamwork.
Competencies
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with medical equipment such as IV pumps and monitors, and skilled in medication administration.

Education
