Independent Home Health is looking for a compassionate and dependable caregiver to assist a client in their home environment.ย  This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningfulย  difference while providing companionship and daily support.ย 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up living areas
  • Monitor and report changes in the clientโ€™s health, behavior, or environment
  • Medication reminders
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, or social activities (if applicable)
  • Follow care plans and document services provided
  • Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times

Qualifications:

  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation (if transportation assistance is required)
  • Ability to lift 25โ€“50 pounds, depending on client needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a strong work ethic
  • 1-year hands-on caregiving experience is preferred, but not required

Job Requirements:

  • 18 years old or more
  • Have a valid ID
  • Able to pass a PA criminal background check
  • Able to pass an FBI background check if you have not been a PA resident for 2 years
  • TB Clearance
