Position Description
As an HVAC Apprentice you will assist the HVAC Mechanic with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in the HVAC trade. The ideal candidate demonstrates a willingness to learn, follows safety protocols, and works effectively as part of a team to support successful project completion. Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Assist HVAC mechanics with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including ductwork, equipment, and controls.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment for job sites.
  • Follow instructions and learn proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
  • Measure, cut, and assist in the assembly of various HVAC system components.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and company vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support project completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.

Position Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience:
  • Per the state of Kentucky, applicants must be at least 18 years of age or have a high school diploma.
  • Little to no construction or HVAC experience required.
  • Must have, or be in the process of obtaining, basic hand tools.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in the HVAC field.

Physical Requirements:
  • Work may involve regular movement, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing.
  • Work may occasionally require lifting, carrying, or moving materials or equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Work may be performed in a variety of environments, including indoor, outdoor, confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required for specific tasks.
