Position Description
As a T3 - Journeyman Technician, you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, service, and repair across all types of refrigeration equipment with minimal supervision. This role is a senior-level service position within the Refrigeration Service Group that serves as a technical resource, supports customer relationships, and assists with site visits and small project quotes while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, service, and repair on a wide range of refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Work independently on complex service calls with minimal oversight.
  • Conduct site visits to assess service needs, equipment conditions, and scope of work.
  • Prepare and assist with small quotes and service estimates as required.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding findings, recommendations, and service solutions.
  • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships through reliable service and professional conduct.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
  • Accurately complete service documentation, reports, and required paperwork.
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow and enforce all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with mentoring and supporting apprentices and junior technicians as needed.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with company values and service expectations.

Position Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a refrigeration service technician.
  • Demonstrated unrestricted ability to service and troubleshoot all types of refrigeration equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of refrigeration systems, controls, and components.
  • Experience conducting site visits and preparing small service quotes preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Work may involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, or reaching for extended periods during the workday.
  • Work may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials and equipment weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Work may require working in confined spaces, on ladders, or at elevated heights under supervision.
  • Work may involve exposure to varying environmental conditions, including noise, varying weather conditions, fumes, and mechanical equipment.
