Henry Ford Providence Hospital is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Neonatologist to join our neonatal services team across our Southfield and Novi campuses. This role is integral to providing comprehensive care for newborns and their families, ranging from healthy infants to those requiring advanced intensive care.
Henry Ford Health, one of the nation's largest integrated health systems, is seeking a full-time BE/BC Neonatologist. As part of exciting development, Henry Ford Health has earmarked the growth of its Pediatric services. The vision includes expansion of the inpatient footprint and development of all specialties. Henry Ford Pediatrics as a service line spans care across West Bloomfield Hospital, Macomb Hospital, Wyandotte, Jackson and Henry Ford Hospital, Henry Ford St John's Children's Hospital, Rochester, Providence, Southfield and Novi as state-of-the-art Pediatric comprehensive care facilities. The flagship campus, downtown, is the location of major investment for the system with its 'Destination Grand'. With an expansive primary care network for Pediatrics, the addition of new as well as growth of existing comprehensive specialty care is in progress.
With a group of 275+ physicians/providers, comprising primary care, specialties, APP and more than 300 support staff, clinical care is provided at 50+ sites, including the 9 Henry Ford acute care hospitals and several state-of-the-art ambulatory centers. There are several Level 3 NICUs and Level 2 Special care nurseries with care provided by a strong team of neonatologists. The inpatient services are supported by a robust hospitalist group.
Neonatologists and NNPs provide coverage at the Level III's as well as the newborn service and coverage at the Level II units at Henry Ford Providence Southfield and Henry Ford Novi is with Neonatologists (days) and NNPs (nights and weekends) providing 24 hour service. Neonatologists, take Night and Weekend calls for both these hospitals from home.
An active transport team (NNP, RT and Nurse) provides transport for the Level III Unit's at both Henry Ford Detroit and Henry Ford Children's Hospital, where the full range of neonatal intensive care including Pediatric surgery, iNO therapy and Body Cooling are offered.
Faculty have opportunity for academic appointments at Michigan State University and Wayne State University. There is a robust UGME program with medical students from Michigan State and Wayne State University. Medical student, Family Practice resident and NNP education is exciting component of the role. Developmental follow up assessment is provided in the weekly Clinics at both Henry Ford Detroit and Henry Ford Children's Hospital attended by the neonatologist, a NNP as well as an occupational therapist. The clinics support all HFHS high risk discharges from the NICU or Special care nurseries or from the pediatricians' offices. These clinics are being expanded in its function as a NICU discharge clinic to help with multi-disciplinary specialty clinical care as well.
Qualifications
ACGME/AOA approved Pediatric residency program.
Must have completed or currently completing an ACGME/AOA approved Neonatology fellowship program.
Board Certification will be required.
