Security Officer - Part Time Weekend Hospital Patrol

You may support sensitive hospital areas, assist with de-escalation and restraint situations, and document activity using computer or tablet systems. Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Fri 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM

Sat 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM

Sun 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, directing visitors, and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be comfortable working in a hospital morgue.
  • Be able to restrain individuals.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
