Work EnvironmentHospitals, healthcare facilitiesMedical offices, clinics
Employer & IndustryHospitals, healthcare providersMedical practices, outpatient clinics

Weekend Hospital Janitorial and Weekend Medical Office Cleaning both involve cleaning healthcare environments, requiring similar certifications and safety training. The main difference lies in the work setting: hospitals versus medical offices. Both roles focus on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in healthcare facilities, but the hospital janitorial role typically involves more extensive cleaning protocols due to the larger and more complex environment.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A weekend hospital janitorial position typically does not pay $10,000 a month without a degree; such high earnings are uncommon in this role. Generally, high-paying jobs without a degree include specialized trades, sales, or entrepreneurship, but they often require experience, skills, or certifications. Most janitorial roles pay hourly wages that are below this level, even with overtime or weekend shifts.

What is the highest paying janitorial job?

The highest paying janitorial jobs are often supervisory or management roles, such as janitorial supervisors or facility managers, which can offer higher salaries due to increased responsibilities. Specialized cleaning positions, such as those requiring hazardous material handling or operating advanced cleaning equipment, may also command higher wages. Experience, certifications, and working in large or high-profile facilities can further increase earning potential.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Jobs like specialized medical surgeons, corporate executives, and certain high-level consultants can earn $2,000 or more per day. These roles typically require advanced education, significant experience, and often involve high responsibility or specialized skills. Such positions are usually found in industries like healthcare, finance, or executive management.

How to become a janitor at a hospital?

To become a hospital janitor, applicants typically need a high school diploma or equivalent and should have basic cleaning skills. Relevant experience in cleaning or custodial work is beneficial, and familiarity with cleaning tools and safety procedures is important. Some hospitals may require background checks and offer on-the-job training.

Clearview Building Maintenance

Job description

Commercial Cleaning FloaterThe Backbone of Our Operations Team

At ClearView Building Maintenance, we don’t just clean buildings — we help keep hospitals, medical facilities, offices, and commercial spaces throughout Mid-Michigan safe, clean, and operating professionally.

As a growing woman-owned company recognized for excellence and community impact, we are looking for dependable, adaptable people who want more than a repetitive “clock in, clock out” job.

This is not your average cleaning position.

Our Floaters are some of the most trusted and knowledgeable employees in the company. They are cross-trained throughout nearly 50–60 facilities, support supervisors and operations staff, troubleshoot problems on the fly, and help keep our entire operation moving.

In fact, nearly every Zone Supervisor at ClearView started in this role, including our HR Generalist.

If you are someone who likes staying active, learning constantly, solving problems, driving between locations, and being trusted with independence, this could be the opportunity that launches your career.

What This Job Is Really Like

Every night is different.

One shift may have you supporting a medical office in Grand Blanc, the next covering a surgery center in Flint, and the next learning a completely new building alongside a supervisor.

You will:

  • Work independently most nights
  • Travel between locations
  • Learn dozens of buildings, routines, and expectations
  • Adapt quickly to changing situations
  • Stay physically active throughout your shift
  • Build relationships with supervisors, office staff, and other employees
  • Become one of the most knowledgeable people in the company

At the same time, cleaning is still cleaning. There are routines, systems, and standards that must be followed consistently. The best Floaters can balance structure with adaptability.

Once fully trained, this is an extremely independent position. We trust our Floaters to manage their time, adapt to different buildings, communicate when needed, and take ownership of their work. For many people, that level of independence is one of the best parts of the job.

You are given structure, expectations, training, and support — but successful Floaters are people who can think for themselves, stay motivated, and handle responsibility without constant supervision.

Why This Role Matters

Floaters are the backbone of our support staff and operations team.

When a building needs coverage, a supervisor needs support, or a location requires someone dependable and experienced, Floaters step in. Because they learn so many buildings and procedures, they often develop a deeper understanding of our operations than almost anyone else in the company.

This role requires initiative, accountability, flexibility, and the ability to think on your feet.

It is not an “easy” position — but it is one of the fastest ways to grow within ClearView.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities may include:

  • Covering open shifts at multiple commercial and medical facilities
  • Cleaning and sanitizing offices, restrooms, breakrooms, exam rooms, and common areas
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care
  • Restocking supplies and maintaining janitor closets
  • Operating cleaning equipment such as backpack vacuums and floor scrubbers
  • Locking/unlocking buildings and setting alarms
  • Learning building-specific procedures and expectations
  • Communicating with supervisors and operations staff throughout the night
  • Identifying maintenance or safety concerns
  • Assisting with inspections and quality control
  • Adapting to changing schedules and priorities

Who Does Well In This Position?

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Gets bored doing the exact same thing every day
  • Likes working independently
  • Does not need constant micromanagement
  • Enjoys being trusted with responsibility
  • Can manage their own time and priorities
  • Learns quickly and adapts well
  • Takes pride in doing quality work
  • Thrives in fast-moving environments
  • Wants a role where every night is a little different
  • May be interested in pathway into leadership or operations
  • Can handle responsibility and problem solving without needing every detail planned out

Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to drive between locations nightly
  • Ability to work evening/night shifts
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stay active for 6–8 hour shifts
  • Eligibility to drive company vehicles under insurance guidelines

Previous commercial cleaning experience is helpful, but not required. We provide extensive hands-on training.

Schedule
  • Evening/Night Shift
  • Monday–Friday
  • Some weekends as needed
  • Flexible scheduling opportunities available

Pay & Benefits
  • Full-time position
  • $15.50-$17 per hour depending on experience, availability, and tested performance.
  • Paid drive time
  • PTO package
  • Health insurance options
  • Ongoing training and development
  • Advancement opportunities into leadership and supervision

Growth Opportunities

This is one of the most important developmental positions in our company.

Floaters learn the ins and outs of our operations, buildings, standards, and leadership expectations. Employees who excel in this role are often considered first for:

  • Assistant Supervisor roles
  • Zone Supervisor positions
  • Training and quality control opportunities
  • Operations support positions
  • Project work leads

If you are looking for a position where hard work, adaptability, and initiative are noticed, we want to meet you.

Do you think you’re the type of person who can handle a role like this? Then let’s talk.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Flint, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
