Exciting Non-Invasive Cardiology Position in Pennsylvania

About the Role

Our Heart & Vascular Institute is looking for a full-time, general non-invasive cardiologist to join our growing team in 2026 or 2027. The selected candidate will receive a clinical academic appointment and will provide both inpatient and outpatient services at our UPMC Jameson and/or UPMC Horizon facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inpatient cardiology consultations
• Provide critical care services
• Analyze ECGs and interpret transthoracic echocardiograms
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiograms and cardiac nuclear studies
• Opportunity to engage in teaching

These responsibilities will be shared on a weekly rotation with fellow cardiologists, and weekend coverage will be on a 1:4 basis.

About the Practice

The Heart & Vascular Institute at UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon currently includes four full-time cardiologists (two interventionalists and two non-invasive cardiologists, with plans to expand to six). Additionally, there are ten APPs serving two suburban areas near Pittsburgh. Our team is complemented by part-time services from four electrophysiologists (including a pacemaker clinic), a heart failure specialist, three vascular surgeons, one thoracic surgeon, and one cardiothoracic surgeon. The outpatient office in New Castle is located within UPMC Jameson, which also houses a comprehensive range of diagnostic services, including two catheterization labs. HVI Horizon-Greenville is situated within UPMC Horizon Greenville hospital, while HVI Horizon-Shenango is located directly across from UPMC Horizon Shenango Valley hospital.

Collaboration Between UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson

UPMC Horizon and UPMC Jameson are neighboring community teaching hospitals with a long-standing tradition of serving their communities for over a century. They joined forces in 2016 to enhance regional care for residents in Mercer and Lawrence counties in western Pennsylvania. Both hospitals are integral parts of the extensive, nationally recognized UPMC network, which has had flagship hospitals featured on the U.S. News and World Report's Honor Roll of America's Best Hospitals for over a decade. Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Cardiology
• Valid medical license in Pennsylvania
• Demonstrated experience in non-invasive cardiology
