Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
We are the new HouseMaster Greater Phoenix! LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED BY AN INSPECTOR (NO PRIVATE EQUITY FIRMS!)
We are a small but mighty and growing franchise, seeking individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail- oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable, and presentable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection of essential elements and detailed report.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications.
The ideal candidate stays current on latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in Inspection standards & home building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently and a strong work ethic are also required. Salary based on experience and qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Active Home Inspector License with Arizona Board of Technical Registration
  • Capacity to use the latest inspection software, technology and techniques. We use HomeGauge report writer and ISN.
  • Certified or trained to perform Termite, Radon & Mold Inspections a plus but not required at hire.
  • Degree or experience in construction or engineering a plus but not required
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record, personal auto insurance
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
  • Physically fit for climbing ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or potential carcinogens
