Job description

Breakthroughs LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and friendly female staff to provide community-based/ in home personal support services for an woman with developmental disabilities in the Tampa area. This individual is independent and enjoys participating in community outings and recreational activities such as going to the mall or bowling. This consumer also works at a grocery store and requires transportation to and from work. This consumer also requires in home support assistance with ADLs.


This position is ideal for someone who enjoys providing companionship, promoting independence, and supporting meaningful community engagement along with in home support.


Schedule

  • Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday
  • 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM
  • 36 hours/Week


Responsibilities

  • Provide transportation to and from community activities and outings
  • Support participation in recreational and social activities within the community
  • Encourage independence while remaining available when support is needed
  • Provide companionship and maintain a positive, professional environment
  • Assist with community integration and engagement in preferred activities
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability at all times

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Current car insurance and vehicle registration

  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Medication Validation certification
  • Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening
  • Required Train.org trainings must be completed prior to assignment (HIPAA, HIV AIDS, ZERO TOLERANCE,DIRECT CARE CORE)
  • Compassionate, dependable, and patient demeanor
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred, but not required
