Pharmacist Position in Salina, KS

We are partnering with a local hospital in Salina, KS to find a licensed pharmacist for a full-time, day-shift informatics pharmacist position. In this role you will apply clinical and technical expertise to optimize pharmacy systems, support medication safety, and contribute to regulatory compliance. Minimum Requirements:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program required.
  • Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required.
  • Current Kansas pharmacist license or eligibility for Kansas licensure highly preferred.
  • ASHP-accredited residency preferred.
  • Board Certification in Pharmacy Informatics (BCPIS) or related certification preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy automation, informatics, or IT applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHRs), medication-use systems, medication safety monitoring tools, and regulatory requirements for controlled substances preferred.
  • Experience supporting drug diversion monitoring programs and tools preferred.

Position Summary:

  • Optimize and support pharmacy informatics systems and workflows across the hospital and affiliated locations.
  • Enhance medication safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance through system configuration and continuous improvement.
  • Support and help manage drug diversion monitoring programs and tools.
  • Provide patient-centered pharmaceutical care including dispensing and drug information in accordance with hospital standards and pharmacy law.
  • Work with pharmacy automation systems, automated dispensing systems, smart IV pump technology, barcoding and scanning technologies, EHRs, medication safety monitoring tools, and drug diversion tracking platforms.
  • Position may offer one day remote work per week; otherwise on-site. Evenings and weekends as needed.
