Radiologist Positions Available

Our organization is actively looking for Radiologists specializing in the following areas: Body Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, and Emergency and Trauma Radiology. Below are the details for each position.

Radiologist - Body Imaging

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is inviting applications for a full-time faculty role for a board eligible/certified radiologist with a focus on body and abdominal imaging. The academic rank will be determined based on the candidate's experience, training, and accomplishments.

Work sessions will take place at both Yale New Haven and Bridgeport Hospitals, the latter being affiliated with our health system, situated in the lively Fairfield County, Connecticut, just outside the New York metropolitan area.

Qualifications
  • Board eligible/certified Radiologists with fellowship training in Body, Abdominal, or Ultrasound imaging are encouraged to apply.
  • Clinical proficiency in CT, MRI, ultrasound, plain radiography, or GI/GU fluoroscopic studies is essential.
  • While scholarly output is not mandatory for faculty on the Academic Clinician Track, collaboration on departmental research projects is welcomed.
  • Strong clinical leadership, teaching, and service development achievements can facilitate promotion to Associate and Full Professor.
  • Opportunities for leadership roles and professional development are available based on the applicant's interests and experience.
  • A commitment to educating residents and fellows is required.

Radiologist - Cardiothoracic Imaging

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking board-eligible/certified radiologists with expertise in cardiothoracic imaging for a faculty position on the Academic Clinician or Clinician Educator Scholar track. Academic rank will be aligned with the candidate's experience, training, and achievements.

The Cardiac Section within the Cardiothoracic Division consists of both Radiologists and Cardiologists who collaboratively provide comprehensive cardiac CT and MRI imaging services. The educational mission of this division encompasses all levels of learners, including both radiology and cardiology trainees.

Sessions will be conducted at Yale New Haven and Bridgeport Hospitals, the latter being an affiliate of our health system, located in vibrant Fairfield County, Connecticut, just outside the New York metropolitan area.

Qualifications
  • Board-eligible/certified Radiologists with a focus on cardiothoracic imaging are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong clinical leadership, teaching, and service development successes may facilitate promotion to Associate and Full Professor.

Location

While up to half of the sessions may be focused on facilities in New Haven, the remainder will be assigned to Bridgeport Hospital, which is part of our health system. Bridgeport Hospital hosts an ACGME accredited, four-year diagnostic radiology residency training program approved for 16 residents.

Qualifications
  • Board eligible/certified Radiologist with preferred fellowship training in Trauma/ER, Body Imaging, Musculoskeletal, or Neuroradiology for a full-time faculty appointment.
  • Academic rank will be based on experience.
  • Clinical responsibilities will include CT, ultrasound, plain radiography, and emergency fluoroscopic studies.
