Additional required documents must be attached. Resumes are not accepted in lieu of application fields. Overview and Minimum Class Requirements THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION SCHEDULED TO WORK SEASONALLY FOR THE MONTHS OF MARCH THROUGH OCTOBER.

THE POSITION WILL HAVE VARIED WORK HOURS. POSITION MAY WORK WEEKENDS, EVENINGS, AND HOLIDAYS. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Any combination of education or experience equivalent to completion of high school and six months of golf course work experience.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR CERTIFICATES Must possess and maintain a Basic First Aid/CPR certificate within six months of employment. Job Summary Under general supervision, plans and coordinates public play and related activities at Fisher Golf Course. Duties include maintaining on-course play; responding to and resolving complaints and problems; collecting fees; maintaining the clubhouse and supplies; selling equipment and concessions; and directing temporary staff as needed.

Work is performed with considerable latitude for use of independent judgment and is evaluated through direct observation, results achieved and customer satisfaction. Essential Functions Plans and coordinates public play. Opens, closes and secures clubhouse and golf course on a daily basis.

Puts out flag pins each morning and picks them up each evening. Keeps recreation supervisor and golf course superintendent apprised of activities or problems at the course. Serves as marshal; groups players to ensure optimal usage during heavy course usage and keeps play moving when necessary.

Assures order and safety on the course. Receives golfers' complaints, investigates as appropriate and resolves problems whenever possible and appropriate. May encounter irate, discourteous customers; may eject players damaging course property or causing a safety hazard for other players.

Involves supervisory personnel or local law enforcement as necessary. Issues emergency closures, clears the course and issues passes or rain checks in the event of hazardous, inclement weather such as electrical storms. Maintains clubhouse by cleaning floors, windows and restrooms and ensures adequate supplies of restroom materials.

Picks up litter and sweeps around clubhouse exterior. Cleans picnic tables and chairs and puts up umbrellas when weather is appropriate. Collects greens fees and golf club and cart rental fees.

Sells equipment and concessions. Balances cash daily and prepares daily cash transmittal. Operates cash register and uses computer to enter registrations and sales.

Answers questions pertaining to golf rules, regulations, equipment, etiquette, play and other matters. Ensures customer/player needs and interests are addressed courteously, politely and professionally. Evaluates program and service delivery effectiveness and suggests improvements.

Assists with ordering supplies and keeping inventories. Completes daily opening and closing check lists for supplies and concessions. Assists with preseason set-up and fall closure.

Requires regular and reliable attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned. OTHER FUNCTIONS: May serve as lead worker; train and provide limited supervision for temporary workers.

May assist in hiring instructors and temporary workers. May teach golf lessons to junior players; organizes, leads or instructs recreational golf programs, teen leagues, junior clinics and golf day camps for ages 4-6. May plan and operate specialty programs such as tournaments, moonlight golf and non-skill clinics.

Major Worker Characteristics Knowledge of: golfing rules, regulations, etiquette, equipment and course management; golf course maintenance and safety practices and procedures. Ability to: enforce various rules, regulations and procedures; plan and coordinate specialty programs, leagues, clinics and day camps and teach lessons to junior groups; work with the public in a pleasant and courteous manner; perform basic mathematical calculations, make change, maintain records, operate cash register and keep club house clean and tidy; work independently with limited on-site supervision; communicate effectively orally and in writing and to understand a variety of technical and safety materials. PHYSICAL DEMANDS May work inside or outside with all weather extremes, be exposed to animals, insects, pollen, dust, dirt, water, and/or rough terrain.

Work involves using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, or controls and reaching with hands and arms. Work requires frequent standing and sitting for excessive periods and walking on rough terrain. Occasional bending/stooping/kneeling.

Occasional heavy work includes lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Occasionally ascends/descends stairs, ladders and other inclines while maintaining balance. Constant use of all senses including feeling/talking/ hearing/seeing while performing duties and while communicating with co-workers, general public and completing all tasks as assigned.

May work alone or with others. Must be able to distinguish color and maintain long-term and short-term memory. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS May work evenings, split or rotating shifts or weekends depending on programs and activities and be available to respond to emergencies with minimal notice. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Will be required to take coffee and lunch breaks on site.

May work outside during extreme summer weather and be exposed to dirt, dust, pollen, stinging and biting insects and animals. May be the only employee on-site.
