The Patterson Restaurant + Bar at Hotel Hartness is actively searching for professional, friendly, and fast-paced Servers/Bartenders to join work in a team environment within our Food and Beverage FOH team.

Job Summary:

  •          Greet, direct, seat, and serve guests in accordance with company service standards.
  • ·        Be knowledgeable about all beverage options offered, regularly making recommendations to guests.
  • ·        Craft, mix, and pour all beverage items in accordance to Food and Beverage standards.
  • ·        Be thoroughly familiar with menu items, promotions offered, hotel offerings, and related materials.
  • ·        Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly. Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.
  • ·        Assist in resolving any complaints, and communicate disgruntled customers to the appropriate supervisor.
  • ·        Reconciliation cash, accurately charge credit cards, and make appropriate cash deposits at end of shift. Complete all transactions using the Point of Sale system.
  • ·        Act as manager on duty after Restaurant Manager has left for the evening.
  • ·        Assist F&B Director in cocktail development, making recommendations to edit beverage menu offerings.
  • ·        Closing supervisor duties as directed.
  • ·        Work closely with F&B Director to ensure all staff are properly educated on beverage options, wine and beer knowledge, and liquor service policy best practices.

Required Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must feel comfortable with technology. Working knowledge of a Point of Sale system preferred
  • 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant, fine dining preferred.
  •  Alcohol service training certificate a plus (will train if needed).
  •  Ability to work in a constructive, team working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to operate smoothly under pressure and stress
  • Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days (i.e. town festivals).
  • May be subject to successful completion of background check and/or DMV check.
