Job description

Le Triomphe Golf & Country Club, located in Broussard, AL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Golf Course Starter! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
General Purpose:
The purpose of the Golf Course Starter is to manage tee times, keep track of information for the Pro Shop, to uphold our rules pertaining to members and guests playing, and to aid in the effective running of the golf course.
Rules to Enforce:
  • No one under the age of 16 must drive any vehicle on Le Triomphe Golf and Country Clubs property.
  • Group sizes to be limited to foursomes, unless an exception has been made.
  • Three Le Triomphe golf carts maximum per group.
  • That only persons permitted to be in personal carts are using these.
  • That proper golf attire is being worn while playing or at the practice facility.
  • That anyone who does not have a registered pull cart to use a rental.
  • 7:30 am is the first allowed tee time, this can only be varied with previous approval by the Pro Shop.
  • All groups are to tee off the designated starting tee, any variation has to be approved by the Pro Shop.
  • All push/pull carts must be Clic Gear, and guests are not allowed to use personal push/pull carts.

Procedures:
  • Get required materials from Pro Shop.
  • Get designated cart from Cart Staff.
  • Deliver Gate tee sheet to guards at the front of the neighborhood.
  • The Starter will be posted on the first tee closest to the Turn.
  • In the event of a ten-tee start, the Starter must still be in this location to inform clients that we will have a ten-tee start. This is important because people are creatures of habit and will head to the 1st tee as a default and we must intercept them before causing any confusion.
  • Ask Groups if they will be playing 9 or 18 holes.
  • Any guest that is present must be registered in the Pro Shop before being able to tee off.
  • All Guests must be on the tee sheet prior to their tee time. This update should come from the Pro Shop.
  • As tee times arise the Starter must keep the scheduled groups teeing off on time. With 10-minute intervals between groups.
  • Starters may stay longer than the Pro Shop is open.
  • Ensure all trash is removed and cart that was used for the day is in good condition to return at the bag drop to Cart Staff.
