CHOICES is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and mission-driven Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our Birth Center, Home Birth Program, and Wellness Clinic.

If you're passionate about physiologic birth, reproductive justice, and building trusting relationships with patients and families, this is a place where your work truly matters.

In this role, you'll support patients through every stage of their reproductive health journey-from pregnancy and birth to postpartum care, newborn support, gynecologic services, and lifelong wellness. You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team committed to inclusive, trauma-informed care for all.

What You'll Do

Birth Center, Home Birth & Clinical Care

  • Provide care in birth center, home birth, and clinic settings.

  • Manage prenatal, labor, birth, postpartum, newborn, gynecologic, and reproductive healthcare services.

  • Perform wellness exams, Pap smears, STI testing and treatment, family planning, and contraceptive procedures.

  • Provide gender-affirming hormone therapy (HRT) management and menopause care.

  • Educate patients and families on health promotion, wellness, and informed decision-making.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing with specialization in Nurse-Midwifery

  • Current Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification

  • Tennessee CNM license or eligibility for licensure in Tennessee

  • DEA registration in Tennessee

  • Current NRP and BLS certifications

  • Eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs

  • Eligible for malpractice liability insurance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of clinical midwifery experience

  • Experience attending out-of-hospital births strongly preferred

  • Basic ultrasound skills preferred

Schedule & Coverage

Our Birth Center operates 24/7, 365 days a year, and this role supports that mission through:

  • 3 clinic days per week

  • 24-hour on-call rotation

  • Rotating weekend coverage

  • Flexibility for day, night, overnight, holiday, and on-call needs

Work Environment

This is a hands-on, meaningful clinical role across birth center, clinic, home, and community settings. You'll be supporting patients during some of the most important moments of their lives.

The role includes standing for extended periods, assisting with labor and birth, performing physical assessments, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs, and routine exposure to blood and bodily fluids in accordance with OSHA guidelines.

  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
