Description

 POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Sewing Machine Operator will operate various sewing machines to join parts of fabricated articles or garments. This full-time hourly position is responsible for sewing garments for production and monitoring the quality of the final item. Need to be willing to work overtime as needed. Sewing test is required to be considered.

Radians is willing to train anyone with a sincere interest in learning to sew safety apparel. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Read and interpret work instructions
  • Verify fabrics, threads, and parts
  • Operate industrial sewing equipment to assemble product
  • Monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions
  • Record Quantities produced
  • Inspect Product for defects and mark errors as necessary
  • Be willing to cross-train in various manufacturing areas
  • Have a good attendance record.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE & OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Prefer 1+ Years experience in related field

Maintain consistent production quality

Industrial sewing machine experience is A PLUS

Physical Demands 

The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; the employee is frequently required to walk; the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
