Job description

A-1 Mechanical is on the lookout for skilled Residential New Construction HVAC Installers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in installation of HVAC systems and their required accessories, demonstrating expertise in quality standards and mechanical code requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installation of HVAC equipment, gas piping, flex and sheet metal duct systems, copper refrigerant lines, and carry out wiring to both low and line voltage to heating and cooling equipment. Execute brazing and soldering of copper refrigerant lines with precision and care. Manage inventory on company vehicles, ensuring all parts are stocked and organized. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently, sharing knowledge and best practices. Communicate effectively with company representatives, adhering to builders schedules and providing clear explanations. Complete all paperwork accurately at the end of each day. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of HVAC experience.
  • Must hold a current EPA Certification.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Valid driver's license with no major driving infractions for 4+ years.
  • Must be able to pass a physical, drug screening, and background check.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, late nights, and overtime as needed.

  • Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor, with a focus on maintaining industry certifications through ongoing training.
