Job description

A Workover Rig Floorhand is responsible for all activities conducted on the workover rig floor by performing but not limited to the following duties:Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesWorks with a three to five person crew performing maintenance and repairs on oil & gas wellsResponsible for operating the mud pump, pipe wranglers, mixing fluids and performing equipment upkeepPicks up/lays down pipe and latches tubing in elevatorsAssists in loading and off-loading pipe and other items Manages tools on the workover rig floor and assists in daily maintenanceAssists with rigging up and rigging down the workover rigWorks in the shop or assists in NDES Yard maintenance when necessaryAssists in repairs and preparing workover rig for deployment when necessaryAttends and participates in daily and monthly safety meetingsUnderstand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are requiredReport any and all incidents immediately to Rig SupervisorAble to work in all weather conditionsPerforms other duties as directed by managementRequired SkillsMust be able to work in fast-paced environmentMust be able to report to work on time and fit for dutyMust possess organizational and problem-solving skillsMust be able to work with a teamMust be able to lift 75 lbs. and handle physical demanding workMust be able to communicate using oral and basic written communicationMust pass a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening and participate in the random testing poolMust pass a background check and motor vehicle record checkArrange for reliable transportation to and from work QualificationsThe requirements listed in this job description are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required and must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an outside environment.
