Part-Time or .6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period. Day hours Monday - Friday, weekends as needed.
Job Description:
The Fitness Center Technician works under the supervision of the director and fitness tech lead, and as appropriate, under the therapists and athletic trainer. The tech will assist in maintaining a clean, efficient and safe center to include cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment, lockers, and restrooms. The role includes orientation to and response to questions regarding Fitness Center membership policy and procedure to new and existing members, as well as instruction of members on the use of equipment and general exercise techniques. He/she accepts and posts membership payments and reconciles daily financial interactions via the membership software program. The fitness center tech monitors membership and addresses non-member use of the fitness center and adherence to membership policy. The technician will always serve as a model for superior customer service.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • A Certified Personal Trainer or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist is preferred.
  • Degree or pursuit of a health or fitness-related field of study is preferred.
  • Experience working with the public is required.
  • Previous experience working in a fitness center or related field is preferred.
