Pinsa Pizzaria Food Service Assistant

Work in a new Pinsa Pizzaria in the Wisconsin Discovery Institute. This position will lead the daily operations of the store and lead two student staff members. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced operation, to deliver high quality food with outstanding customer service.

Duties will include receiving and stocking product. Setting up and preparing for opening. Running cash register, cooking and serving Pinsa Pizzas, stocking, cleaning and take down after closing. Retail/ restaurant, customer service experience helpful.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 9:30am - 3:30pm

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Greets customers, answers questions, and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities
  • Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
  • Assists and guides student workers
  • Prepares a variety of basic dishes such as sandwiches and salads, and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes
  • Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs routine food preparation activities such as portioning, chopping food, and serving food to customers
