A Weekend Finance job typically involves handling financial tasks such as budgeting, reporting, or accounting over the weekend. It is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work schedules or part-time finance opportunities.

What are the typical responsibilities of a Weekend Finance professional, and how do they differ from weekday finance roles?

A Weekend Finance professional is typically tasked with overseeing financial transactions, processing accounting entries, preparing reports, and addressing urgent financial issues that arise outside of standard business hours. Unlike weekday finance staff, weekend roles often involve working independently and handling time-sensitive tasks to ensure business continuity and compliance over the weekend. The position may also include supporting client queries, reconciling accounts, or collaborating with customer service and operations teams to resolve any immediate concerns. To excel in a Weekend Finance role, candidates should possess strong analytical abilities, experience with financial reporting, and a background in accounting or finance, often supported by a relevant degree or previous related experience. Familiarity with financial management software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Excel, as well as knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards, is often essential. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly are valuable soft skills in this position. These competencies ensure efficient financial operations over weekends, helping businesses maintain accurate records and meet deadlines even outside of standard business hours.

Job description

Description

Join our team as a Member Financial Representative and help our members fulfill their dreams!

Primary work location will be Tomahawk after initial training in Merrill.

At Park City Credit Union, our mission is to help our members fulfill their dreams while serving our communities. As a Member Financial Representative, you will serve as a trusted financial partner by helping members with consumer lending, new accounts, account servicing, and financial service needs through both in-person and virtual service channels.

This role combines the responsibilities of a Lending Specialist and New Account Specialist, providing full financial service support with a strong emphasis on consumer lending, new account/member relationship development, and member education. The Member Financial Representative works with members to understand their financial needs, recommend appropriate lending, deposit, account, and service solutions, and create positive experiences that strengthen long-term member relationships.

The Member Financial Representative is responsible for originating, taking, processing, coordinating, and closing consumer loans while also opening and servicing memberships, deposit accounts, checking accounts, savings accounts, certificates, debit cards, online banking, and other account-related services. This position gathers required loan and account documentation, explains account and lending options, supports digital service adoption, and ensures accurate completion of loan and account documentation in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.

We are seeking an individual who is service-focused, detail-oriented, relationship-driven, and comfortable having consultative financial conversations with members. The ideal candidate enjoys helping members identify solutions that support their financial goals, can manage multiple loan and account requests accurately, and is committed to delivering professional service in both face-to-face and virtual environments.

Member Relationship & Community Support

As a representative of Park City Credit Union, the Member Financial Representative helps create strong, trusted member relationships while supporting the Credit Union's commitment to serving our communities. This role supports branch and organizational goals by educating members, identifying lending and deposit needs, participating in branch promotions or community initiatives when appropriate, and helping members feel confident in their financial decisions.

Why Join Park City Credit Union?

At Park City Credit Union, you'll be part of a collaborative organization that values member service, teamwork, community involvement, employee development, and making a positive difference in the lives of our members. If you're looking for an opportunity to build relationships, develop your lending and account service skills, and help members achieve their financial goals, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior customer service, sales, lending, new account, or financial institution experience preferred.
  • Prior consumer lending, new account opening, or finance experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending practices, loan documentation, collateral requirements, and loan closing processes.
  • Strong understanding of membership opening requirements, deposit account ownership types, account documentation, disclosures, and account servicing procedures.
  • Ability to accurately take, process, work, and close multiple loan applications while maintaining compliance, accuracy, and service standards.
  • Ability to accurately open, maintain, and service member accounts while identifying additional deposit, lending, and digital service opportunities.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to recommend credit union products and services based on member needs, financial conversations, account relationships, and credit reports.
  • Strong communication, listening, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent member service in person, through video banking, by telephone, and through written communication.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and manage member follow-up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently while contributing to team and branch goals.
  • Technical ability to accurately input, retrieve, and document information using computerized systems.
  • Basic mathematical skills required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity of highly sensitive Credit Union and member information.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and service environment suitable for both in-person and video banking interactions.
  • Ability to work generally during normal business hours, with occasional overtime or weekend work as needed to meet member needs.
