Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Technician II to join our team in the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication equipment, including voice and data networks, fiber optic cables, and wireless systems. In this role, you will work closely with the Field Technician I, supervisors, and other team members to ensure the efficient and effective completion of tasks.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, including voice and data networks, fiber optic cable, and wireless systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with telecommunications equipment and infrastructure and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Complete work orders and other documentation related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all equipment and materials are properly accounted for and maintained in good condition.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
  • Strong technical skills in voice and data networks, fiber optic cable, and wireless systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
