Greetings,
My name is Tarun Ezava, and I’m reaching out from Patterns Hiring regarding an excellent opportunity we currently have for a Quality Lab Tech role with one of our top clients in the distribution industry.

Position: Quality Lab Tech
Duration: Contract
Location: Pooler, GA
 
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Lab Technician with expertise in Faro Arm measurement systems to ensure precision and compliance with engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical drawings, the ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and proficiency in working with the metric system. This role is critical to maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform dimensional inspections using Faro Arm and other precision measurement tools.
  2. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements accurately.
  3. Verify parts and assemblies against customer and internal quality standards.
  4. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in compliance with quality procedures.
  5. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
  8. Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.

Required Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  2. Hands-on experience with Faro Arm or similar portable CMM systems.
  3. Strong knowledge of metric measurements and conversion principles.
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
  5. Proficiency in measurement software (e.g., CAM2 or similar).
  6. Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  7. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
  1. Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing environments.
  2. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  3. Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a lab setting.

Physical & Safety Requirements
  1. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  2. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  3. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all company safety policies.
