What is a Weekend Farm job?

A Weekend Farm job typically involves assisting with farm tasks on weekends, such as feeding animals, tending crops, cleaning barns, and performing general maintenance. It is often a part-time position suited for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have an interest in agriculture. Some roles may also include helping with farm markets, customer interactions, or specialized tasks depending on the type of farm.

What are the typical responsibilities and work schedule for someone in a Weekend Farm role?

Weekend Farm roles usually involve tasks such as feeding and checking on animals, watering crops or plants, cleaning stalls or barns, operating farm equipment, and performing basic repairs or maintenance. Shifts are typically concentrated on Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional holiday coverage, and working hours may vary based on the season and farm needs. While many duties are performed independently, you may sometimes collaborate with other part-time staff or farm owners to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently. This role is well-suited for individuals seeking supplemental income, practical experience in agriculture, or those who enjoy working outdoors and with animals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Weekend Farm position, and why are they important?

Basic familiarity with farm tools, small machinery, and possibly certifications in pesticide application or livestock handling are often assets. Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a small team are valuable soft skills. These capabilities ensure the farm functions smoothly during weekends, maintaining productivity and animal welfare when full-time staff are off duty.

Job description

State Farm Senior Agency Representative

$60,000 Base Salary + Quarterly Performance Bonuses
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
In-Office Position
Location: 4710 E. Falcon Drive, Suite 108, Mesa, AZ 85215

Our established State Farm agency is seeking an experienced State Farm Senior Agency Representative to help operate the day-to-day activities of our agency. This is a senior-level individual contributor role for a confident insurance professional who understands State Farm operations and enjoys delivering exceptional client service while working independently.

This position does not supervise or manage employees. Instead, we're looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of client relationships, sales, service, account management, and help keep the agency operating smoothly each day.

Current and former State Farm agency team members are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience at Farmers, Allstate, American Family, or other captive insurance agencies may also be considered.

This is not an entry-level position.

About the Role

This is a sales and service position focused on building long-term client relationships within an established State Farm agency. Your primary responsibilities will include servicing our existing clients, writing new business, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and helping operate the day-to-day activities of the agency.

This is not a high-pressure cold-calling sales role. While there may be occasional outbound calls, they are primarily to reconnect with former clients who were previously insured through our agency—not cold prospects. Our focus is on delivering outstanding customer service, strengthening client relationships, and growing our existing business.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • $60,000 annual base salary
  • Quarterly performance bonus opportunities
  • Additional earning potential based on agency and individual performance
  • High level of autonomy and trust
  • Stable, established State Farm agency
  • Professional, team-oriented work environment
  • Monday–Friday schedule with evenings and weekends free
  • Opportunity to take ownership of the agency's day-to-day activities

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced State Farm professional who can confidently step into the agency each day, take ownership of client relationships, handle both sales and service, and help keep the office operating efficiently with minimal supervision.

If you enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and making a meaningful impact in a successful agency, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Helping operate the day-to-day activities of the agency
  • Providing exceptional customer service to existing clients
  • Writing new business for auto, home, life, and health insurance
  • Processing policy changes, endorsements, renewals, billing inquiries, and account servicing
  • Identifying cross-sell opportunities within the existing client base
  • Building long-term client relationships through proactive communication and follow-up
  • Helping retain and grow existing client relationships
  • Reconnecting with former State Farm clients when opportunities arise
  • Resolving client concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and agency records
  • Keeping the office organized, professional, and operating smoothly

Please Note: This position is responsible for helping operate the agency but does not include supervising or managing employees.

Qualifications

  • Current or previous experience working in a State Farm agency is strongly preferred
  • Former or current State Farm agency team members are highly encouraged to apply
  • 3+ years of State Farm agency experience preferred
  • Experience handling both insurance sales and customer service
  • Strong knowledge of State Farm systems, products, and agency workflows
  • Active Arizona Property & Casualty License (required)
  • Active Arizona Life & Health License (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Professional attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Compensation

  • $60,000 annual base salary
  • Quarterly performance bonuses
  • Additional earning opportunities based on performance

Who This Position Is Ideal For

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced State Farm professional who enjoys taking ownership, building long-term client relationships, and helping operate a successful agency without the responsibility of managing employees.

If you're looking for a stable, long-term career where your experience is valued, your contributions make a real impact, and you're trusted to operate with a high degree of independence, we'd love to hear from you.
