Job description

We are currently looking for a Extrusion Operator at our Griffin, GA location.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
  • Sets-up machine to specifications outlined on the order
  • Read orders, select proper resins, and additives.
  • Operate extruders at maximum output with minimum scrap generated.
  • Sets-up machine to standard set-up time & procedure.
  • Operate extruders and resin-handling equipment
  • Operates machine to standard production target and waste target.
  • Trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard.
  • Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.
  • Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
  • Ensures work area is kept clean according to facility/corporate standards.
  • Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met.
  • Prepare and update maintenance repairs on GEMBA boards.
  • Performs inspections per Quality Procedure
  • Update and review GEMBA board with maintenance issues
