Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr b19 Consulting is working with an established power delivery company to find a Senior Substation Physical Engineer working coming from an electrical utility background. This position will be working on greenfield & brownfield projects, for a variety of utility, solar & BESS projects. Basic Qualifications 8+ years utility substation design experience (15kV through to 500kV) Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on high voltage and power distribution systems.
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship. Strong communication skills to co-ordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives.
Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license Proficiency with AutoCAD (2016 or newer) software Proficiency with MicroStation (V8 or newer). Proficiency with CDEGS & grounding calculations. Experience leading & mentoring junior engineers Detailed design of new substation layouts using electrical schematics, bill of materials and equipment specifications.
Experience preparing substation design calculations such as bus sizing, power loading, DC loading, lighting and cable sizing. Understanding of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI standards.
