Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring a valid NM or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience, with night shift availability.

Details
  • Work in a 32-bed Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM โ€“ 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
  • Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
  • Rapid response team activation responsibilities
  • Epic used for charting (experience preferred)
  • Floating required to like units
  • No on-call requirements
  • 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
Requirements
  • Active NM or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required (pending accepted)
  • NIHSS certification required (pending accepted)
  • CPI certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted โ€” individual applicants only
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before traveling back
  • No more than 3 days of RTO will be automatically approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
