Description

Position Summary:

The Part-Time Houseman plays a key support role in the housekeeping department by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting with room supplies, and helping housekeepers with various tasks. This position ensures our hotel remains clean, organized, and welcoming for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, elevators, stairwells, and other public spaces.
     
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners in common areas.
     
  • Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to housekeepers as needed.
     
  • Assist with stripping beds and removing used linens from guest rooms.
     
  • Set up and break down meeting rooms or banquet spaces when needed.
     
  • Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house areas, including laundry rooms and storage closets.
     
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management.
     
  • Ensure all carts and equipment are cleaned and stored properly at end of shift.
     
Qualifications:
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
     
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
     
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and time management.
     
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
     
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive, guest-first attitude.
