We are currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic (Vac Trucks/Fleet) to join our team in Taylor, MI with extensive experience working on a varied fleet of OTR trucks and equipment. Pay

  • $40 - $45/hr

Shift

  • Monday-Friday, Day Shift, In-Shop Role; Overtime and Occasional Weekend hours based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks
  • Maintain and service a variety of fleet vehicles, including Vac trucks
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed
  • Collaborate with fleet manager to schedule routine maintenance

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience (Fleet maintenance required)
  • Experience working on Vac trucks or similar specialty equipment
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and read schematics
  • Must have own tools
  • CDL A or B (preferred, or willing to obtain)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background check
