About the Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced Electric Motor Mechanic to join a growing industrial service team specializing in rotating equipment repair and maintenance. This position is ideal for a hands-on mechanical professional with strong motor repair experience who enjoys troubleshooting, rebuilding, and restoring critical industrial equipment.


In this role, you'll work on electric motors, pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment while supporting customers across a variety of industrial environments. You'll have the opportunity to expand your skills through both classroom and hands-on training while working alongside experienced technicians and mechanics.


Travel may be required at times, typically within a regional service area. Company vehicle support, travel reimbursement, per diem, and other travel-related assistance may be provided when applicable.


What You'll Do


â—Ź Perform and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of electric motors, pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment

â—Ź Troubleshoot mechanical failures and participate in root cause analysis investigations

â—Ź Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, specifications, and repair procedures

â—Ź Document repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and replacement components accurately

â—Ź Perform hydro testing and painting of repaired and newly assembled equipment

â—Ź Follow established safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment

â—Ź Respond to emergency service needs and equipment breakdown situations as required

â—Ź Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service

â—Ź Utilize computer systems for documentation, training, and communication of completed work

â—Ź Collaborate with shop leadership to meet daily production goals and objectives

â—Ź Participate in ongoing technical training and development programs

â—Ź Support additional shop and field service responsibilities as needed


What You Bring


â—Ź High school diploma or GED

â—Ź Minimum of 5 years of electric motor repair experience

â—Ź Strong mechanical aptitude with multi-craft experience preferred

â—Ź Proficiency using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators

â—Ź Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures

â—Ź Familiarity with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment

â—Ź Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals

â—Ź Strong communication and problem-solving skills

â—Ź Self-motivated with organized work habits and attention to detail

â—Ź Coachable attitude and willingness to learn new skills

â—Ź Valid driver's license

â—Ź Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

â—Ź Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the day
