Busser (Part-Time / Full-Time)
Location: Honolulu, HI (ALA MOANA)
Pay Range: $17–$19 per hour

We are a Taiwanese restaurant deeply rooted in tradition and craftsmanship. Our specialty, Xiao Long Bao (小籠包)—meaning "little dumpling in a basket"—dates back over 1,000 years to China’s Song Dynasty. This iconic steamed dumpling, cooked traditionally in bamboo baskets, has been perfected over centuries by different regions of China and is now lovingly crafted in our kitchens to offer an unparalleled authentic experience.

Our commitment to quality, exceptional service, and creating memorable dining experiences is at the heart of everything we do. We take pride in bringing the rich heritage of Taiwanese cuisine, ensuring every bite tells a story of tradition, passion, and culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promptly clear tables, clean tabletops, chairs, booths, and floors between guest visits
  • Remove used tableware between courses and replace as needed
  • Carry dirty dishes to kitchen and properly sort and stack for cleaning
  • Assist in serving food when needed
  • Wipe down or replace dirty tablecloths and seat cushions
  • Restock service stations and maintain adequate supplies (e.g., glassware, silverware, napkins, condiments)
  • Clean and polish counters, shelves, equipment, and furniture in dining and service areas
  • Mop or vacuum floors as needed and respond to spills or accidents promptly
  • Dispose of trash and clean up food or drink spills
  • Refill beverage or ice dispensers
  • Inspect and clean assigned restrooms every 30 minutes
  • Communicate with servers and hosts to ensure efficient table turnover and seating
  • Respond to guest requests and relay them to appropriate staff
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings and participate in team discussions
  • Collaborate with team members and assist where needed to maintain excellent guest service
  • Obtain and confirm service area assignments at the beginning of each shift
  • Fill in for teammates when needed to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
  • Must have or obtain a valid Food Handler’s Permit
  • Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
