Job DescriptionNON-CDL DRIVER & Warehousing SpecialistRole SummaryA Warehouse Driver is a dual-role position. You will spend part of your time operating a commercial vehicle to deliver sales orders to customers, transport materials between branch locations, and pick up vendor stock. When you are not making deliveries, you will work actively as a member of the warehouse operations team.
PAY RATE & HOURS:$23.00 per hour + some overtime
Monday thru Friday - 4am to 6am start
Key ResponsibilitiesDriving & Delivery Duties - Transport: Load customer orders into the truck and Safely operate the truck to deliver them to job sites or other warehouses.
- Quality Control: Inspect delivery items against the packing slip to ensure there are no damages or errors.
- Documentation: Obtain customer signatures for proof of receipt.
- Maintenance: Keep company vehicles clean, fuel them as needed, and perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report any maintenance issues to the manager.
Warehouse Duties (When not on deliveries) - Inventory Management: Receive, unload, store, and organize incoming inventory products accurately.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, process, stage, and ready customer orders and branch transfers.
- Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse space and abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.
Job Requirements & Qualifications - Experience: 2 years of experience driving a 24' straight truck or larger with Air Brakes.
- Vehicle Type: Most vehicles are 26' non-CDL 25,900 lb. box trucks.
- Health & Safety: Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass an annual medical exam and drug screen to obtain a medical card.
- Physical Stamina: Physical fitness is required for loading/unloading trucks and performing heavy warehouse tasks.
- Mandatory Attendance: Participation in bi-annual physical inventory counts is mandatory. These take place on a Saturday at the end of June and the end of December.
Core Skills Needed - Driving: Strong navigation skills and strict adherence to safety/driving regulations.
- Operations: Attention to detail (reading packing slips), time management, and strong organizational skills.
- Soft Skills: A professional, pleasant demeanor with customers and coworkers, a team-player attitude, and a strong sense of urgency.
