A CDL A Truck Driver Training Program is a course designed to prepare individuals for obtaining their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A, which is required to operate large trucks and tractor-trailers. The program typically includes both classroom instruction and hands-on driving practice. Training covers topics like safety regulations, vehicle inspection, driving techniques, and road skills. Completing a CDL A training program is often the first step toward a career as a professional truck driver, as employers usually require drivers to have a CDL A license. Many programs also assist with job placement after graduation.

Most CDL A Truck Driver Training Programs combine classroom instruction with hands-on driving practice. You’ll first learn federal and state regulations, safety procedures, and vehicle operation basics in a classroom setting.
