Job description

Job Summary:
CRITTER SITTERS OF LEXINGTON, INC. is seeking reliable and compassionate individuals to join our team as Pet Sitters & Daily Dog Walkers. This is a part-time, hourly position located in Lexington, Kentucky. As a Pet Sitter & Dog Walker, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and attention to our clients' beloved pets, ensuring their happiness and well-being while their owners are away. This is an individual contributor role and requires a strong passion for animals.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position ranges from $15-$18 per hour the first year, paid on a weekly basis with opportunity for pay increases. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of pets and meet new furry friends every day. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing that you are providing essential care and companionship to pets in need.
Responsibilities:
• Provide pet sitting and dog walking services to clients in a timely and professional manner
• Follow specific care instructions provided by clients to ensure the pets’ individual needs are met
• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the pets, including cleaning up after their messes and properly disposing of waste
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on their pets and address any concerns or issues
• Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of care for the pets
Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with animals, such as pet sitting, dog walking, or working at a shelter or vet clinic
• Passion for and knowledge of different types of animals, breeds, and their care
• Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check

Daily Dog Walkers must be available Monday through Friday between 9am-3pm, and weekends as needed (a minimum of 1 weekend per month).

Night/Weekend Sitters must be available two nights per week, between 6pm-9pm, and 2 weekends per month.
