What is full time dog sitting?

Full time dog sitting is a professional service where an individual cares for one or more dogs as their primary job, providing supervision, feeding, exercise, companionship, and sometimes basic training throughout the day or during extended periods when the owner is away. Unlike occasional or part-time dog sitting, full time dog sitters may stay at the client's home or have the dogs stay with them, ensuring the pets' needs are met consistently. This role often requires flexibility, a love for animals, and may involve additional tasks like administering medication or grooming.

A full-time dog sitter's day typically includes feeding, walking, playtime, basic grooming, and administering medication if needed. Managing multiple clients often involves careful scheduling and clear communication to ensure each dog's needs are met without overlap. Many sitters use apps or planners to track feeding times, walks, and special instructions for each pet. Building strong relationships with both the dogs and their owners is key, and flexibility is important to accommodate last-minute requests or changes.
