Position Summary

The Marina Dock Hand is responsible for providing safe, friendly, and efficient service to marina guests while assisting with daily dock operations. This role supports boaters with docking, fueling, loading/unloading, and general marina maintenance, helping ensure a positive and memorable guest experience.


Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
  • Greet and assist boaters in a friendly and professional manner

  • Help guide boats safely to slips and docks

  • Assist guests with loading and unloading equipment and personal items

  • Answer basic questions about marina services, amenities, and safety guidelines

Dock & Marina Operations
  • Secure boats using proper docking and mooring techniques

  • Monitor dock areas for safety hazards and maintenance issues

  • Assist with fueling operations

  • Maintain cleanliness of docks, walkways, and marina facilities

  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as trash removal, washing docks, and organizing equipment

Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all marina safety procedures and regulations

  • Assist with emergency response procedures as needed

  • Monitor weather conditions and water activity

  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues immediately

  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment

Equipment & Facility Care
