Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service & Store Operations

  • Operate the Marina store, maintain cleanliness, assist customers, and use the public address system. 
  • Use the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately; handle cash per company policy. 
  • Educate customers on safety procedures and complete rental contracts according to company policy. 

Rental Fleet Support & Equipment Handling

  • Perform maintenance checks on rental boats to ensure safety and operational condition. 
  • Operate power boats, pilot boats in/out of slips, and secure kayaks and pedal boats. 
  • Stage rental equipment at the beginning of shift and secure equipment at the end of shift. 

Facility & Grounds Maintenance

  • Maintain a clean store, docks, and surrounding areas throughout the shift. 

Administrative & Compliance Tasks

  • Use the time clock properly; report to work on time; get overtime approved in advance.
  • Follow safety rules and attend required safety meetings.

Scheduling Requirements

  • Work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications:

  • Good math, communication, and janitorial skills. 
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Basic boating knowledge and good boat-handling skills. 
  • Knowledge of powerboat mechanics. 
  • Ability to work within Marina operating hours/flexible scheduling. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift/pull/push up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to swim.
  • Comfortable working outdoors for long periods.
