Make a real difference in the lives of America’s heroes. We’re seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform disability evaluations for Veterans applying for their well-earned benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

This rewarding position lets you use your clinical expertise in a structured, low-stress setting — with no treatment, prescribing, or follow-up care required.

Position Overview

  • Location: Fort Smith, AR
  • Schedule: Monday and Tuesday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Employment Type: Part-time (2 days per week)
  • Compensation: starting at $475 per day
  • Caseload: 3–5 Veterans per day

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed, one-time disability assessments for Veterans
  • Review medical histories and relevant records prior to each exam
  • Document findings in a secure, web-based platform
  • Submit completed evaluations within 24 hours of the appointment

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted state license in good standing
  • Master’s degree required
  • Prior assessment or disability evaluation experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care
