Job Description:
SUMMARY
The Program Assistant, Nursing Data, is responsible for maintaining program databases and systems and serves as an information resource for all nursing students and staff as needed. This includes gathering and compiling qualitative and quantitative data for program evaluation, accreditation reports, and grant monitoring, which may include developing presentations, training, and technical assistance to key stakeholders. The Program Assistant, Nursing Data will act as a liaison between internal and external partners, and the School of Nursing to ensure compliance with procedures for inputting and managing data and creating reports on a defined schedule. Works in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure necessary academic operations are maintained. Manages and facilitates a variety of student and administrative processes to ensure overall student management within the School of Nursing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manages departmental databases, college systems, external evaluation tools utilized by the School of Nursing
  • Collects data from primary or secondary sources for entering into School of Nursing database and associated systems.
  • Enters program data into systems and spreadsheets for programmatic use, accreditation compliance, and decision making.
  • Maintains the accuracy and integrity of program data in compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Analyzes gathered data on a regular basis for program evaluation in conjunction with School of Nursing leadership.
  • Assists in the creation of presentations and communication materials to key stakeholders, including accreditation reports, executive summaries, and grant documents.
  • Assists with ensuring student and faculty compliance and on-boarding as required by the clinical agencies through data compilation and analysis.
  • Maintains and actively utilizes the nursing database for student management and addressing student inquiries, including but not limited to textbooks, digital tools, and Brightspace.
  • Provides training, support, and technical assistance to internal and external partners.
  • Maintains and submits associated and assigned reports as needed.
  • Assists with walk-in students and answers student inquires as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree in a related field

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience with software programming, report generation, developing databases, data entry.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, interpretation, and compilation for reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team.
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem-solving methods in a variety of situations.

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment.

  • Work is partially performed in an environment with sufficient noise that may cause an employee to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.

Target Starting Salary Range: $41,000 to $45,000
The final offer for the successful candidate is targeted to fall within this range but will be based upon an assessment of internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred job requirement(s).
Special Note: If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1 Recruitment and Selection Procedure.
