Job Description:
Summary:
The RN Quality Coordinator is responsible for Quality within a Ballad facility. Specific job responsibilities include:
1. Serve as a resource to department leaders in quality assessment and improvement activities.
2. Provide education to clinical and medical staff members regarding key measures of quality (CMS, accreditation, national initiatives, etc).
3. Designs special studies: develop data collection tools (definitions, spreadsheets), conduct data collection, ensure accuracy of data, and share findings.
4. Provides feedback to clinical staff members regarding performance against established measures (ex CMS and special certification measures).
5. Partners with case management and other clinical support departments to ensure compliance to regulatory and accreditation standards.
6. Reviews scorecards from facility departments to ensure compliance with monitoring and reporting requirements; prioritizes improvement efforts.
7. Assists with development of annual operational plan for quality at facility and region/state.
8. Establish and maintain healthy work relationship with key customers: clinical staff, medical staff, managers, directors within the facility.
9. Participates in facility department meetings and in facility leadership meetings as requested.
Requirements:
Minimum three (3) years' experience in clinical practice setting. Successful management of priorities, multiple projects, and deadlines is required. Computer and Internet skills and experience required-familiarity and comfort with MS Office products is essential for success in this position. Clinical chart review and abstraction experience required. Database data entry and/or management experience, statistical knowledge, quality improvement and patient safety knowledge and application experience preferred. Ability to interact with all members of the facility team and administrative staff in a professional and courteous manner. Bachelors degree preferred, minimum of associates degree in healthcare field.
