TITLE: CLERK-EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN HEALTH SERVICES
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School graduate
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
3. Strong organizational skills
4. Ability to multitask
5. Experience in secretarial and bookkeeping procedures
6. Ability to operate a computer and enter data
SUPERVISES: N/A REPORTS TO: Director of Exceptional Children and Health Services
JOB GOAL: To perform those tasks necessary to assure the successful operation of the Office of Exceptional Children and Health Services
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including but not limited to:
1. Maintains current information in data bases for students with disabilities rolls
2. Prepares correspondence, memorandums, reports, papers, and project narratives as required of and developed by the Director
3. Enters monthly Child Find Count Data student information in MSIS
4. Enter monthly Child Outcome Summary (COS) data student information in MSIS
5. Maintains and updates folders in SAMS for students with Disabilities
6. Processes out of district request for copies of student assessment information
7. Coordinates Office of Disability Determination Services request
8. Coordinates Medicaid reimbursement and maintains Medicaid forms
9. Coordinates fixed assets list and checks in/out of fixed assets
10. Purges and destroys student records according to local, state and federal guidelines
11. Exhibits good communication with offices, schools, and parents
12. Receives and reviews incoming correspondence, reports, and similar documents
13. Identifies communication and determine priority items which require the personal and immediate attention of the Director
14. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
15. Supports the Hattiesburg Public School District Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan
16. Performs other duties as assigned
