Job description

Overview

We're looking for our Founding Growth Lead to build Breeze's growth engine from the ground up.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you'll shape how Breeze shows up in the world. Especially how we tell our story, launch products, build our brand, and become a company people in fintech know, talk about, and want to work with.

This isn't a traditional marketing role, and there's no playbook waiting for you. We're not looking for someone to manage agencies or inherit a set of campaigns. We're looking for a builder.

You'll have the freedom to experiment across content, storytelling, product launches, community, partnerships, founder brand, social, and new distribution channels. One week you might be launching our next product; the next, building an AI-powered content engine, working with creators, or testing a growth idea we haven't even thought of yet.

We're looking for someone who thinks like a founder, moves fast, and loves figuring out what works. Someone who knows how to turn great products into attention, momentum, and world-class distribution. There's plenty of white space to make your mark-so if you've helped take growth from zero to something meaningful and want the ownership that comes with building at an early-stage company, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Build Breeze's growth and marketing function from the ground up.
  • Develop creative growth strategies that increase awareness, engagement, customer acquisition, and product adoption.
  • Define and evolve Breeze's positioning, messaging, and overall brand narrative.
  • Own our content strategy across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, newsletters, blogs, podcasts, events, and emerging platforms.
  • Create content that educates, builds trust, and earns attention organically.
  • Partner closely with Product and leadership to launch new products and features that generate excitement and conversation.
  • Build repeatable growth loops through content, community, referrals, partnerships, creators, and product-led initiatives.
  • Develop founder and executive thought leadership alongside the leadership team.
  • Build relationships with creators, influencers, customers, strategic partners, and media.
  • Run rapid growth experiments across acquisition, activation, retention, referrals, and virality.
  • Leverage AI and automation to dramatically increase the speed, quality, and scale of content production.
  • Analyze performance across channels and continuously iterate based on data and customer insights.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, fintech, payments, crypto, and consumer technology.
  • Help recruit and build Breeze's future growth team as the company scales.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience across growth, brand, content, product marketing, or related functions at a high-growth technology company
  • Proven experience building growth from zero to something meaningful-creating the strategy, systems, content, and distribution rather than inheriting an established playbook
  • Exceptional storyteller who can turn complex ideas and products into compelling content people genuinely want to consume and share
  • Deep understanding of modern distribution, internet culture, and social platforms, with a track record of driving organic reach and engagement
  • Strong product intuition and an understanding of how product, storytelling, brand, and distribution work together to drive growth
  • Builder mentality! You thrive in ambiguity, think from first principles, move quickly, experiment often, and would rather create the playbook than inherit one
  • Analytical and data informed, with experience measuring experiments, learning from results, and iterating quickly
  • Entrepreneurial and highly collaborative, with the ability to work closely with founders and executives and own whatever it takes to drive growth

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, AI, developer tools, SaaS, consumer technology, marketplaces, or another fast-growing technology company
  • Experience with founder-led marketing, organic social, content and editorial, product launches, community, or brand strategy
  • Experience building referral or viral growth loops, product-led growth, lifecycle marketing, or customer advocacy programs
  • Experience developing partnerships with creators, influencers, communities, or other distribution partners
  • Hands-on experience using AI and automation to create, distribute, measure, and scale content and marketing workflows
  • A track record of building brands and campaigns that earned meaningful organic attention without relying heavily on paid acquisition

Our Compensation Philosophy!

We believe compensation should be fair, competitive, consistent, and transparent. We benchmark compensation against the market and establish thoughtful bands for each role, with compensation reflecting experience, skills, location, role scope, and expected impact. We don't believe pay should primarily depend on how aggressively someone negotiates. Eligible employees receive meaningful equity, so the people building Breeze can participate in the long-term value they help create.

Benefits & Perks

  • Health coverage: Breeze covers 100% of employee premiums on our competitive base plan and 75% of dependent premiums.
  • PTO: 21 days, plus applicable company holidays.
  • 401(k): Breeze covers all plan administration fees.
  • Equity: Meaningful ownership in the company you're helping build.
  • Equipment: A new MacBook Air and whatever else you need to do your best work.
  • Office & education allowance: An annual budget for your workspace, tools, and professional development.
  • Wellness: A monthly reimbursement to support your well-being.
  • Annual global offsite: We bring the global Breeze team together every year. Previous destinations include Bali and Singapore, with Japan coming next.

Breeze is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion or creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship or immigration status, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, marital or partnership status, caregiver status, disability, genetic information, military or veteran status, height or weight, sexual and reproductive health decisions, status as a victim of domestic violence, sexual violence, or stalking, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.

Breeze considers qualified applicants with criminal histories in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the New York City Fair Chance Act, where applicable.
