Job Description:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, presentation, and sanitation of the lodge, guest cabins, and common areas. This role supervises the housekeeping team, coordinates cleaning schedules, and ensures that all guest accommodations and shared spaces meet high hospitality standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a key role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests while maintaining efficient housekeeping operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff responsible for cleaning guest cabins, lodge rooms, and common areas.
  • Inspect cabins, lodge rooms, restrooms, and public spaces to ensure cleanliness, organization, and hospitality standards are consistently maintained.
  • Assign daily and weekly housekeeping schedules based on guest occupancy, check-ins, and check-outs.
  • Oversee and assist with cleaning and preparation of cabins and lodge accommodations for guest arrivals and departures.
  • Ensure all guest accommodations are properly stocked with linens, towels, toiletries, and necessary amenities.
  • Train and guide housekeeping team members on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and company standards.
  • Monitor housekeeping inventory, including cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
  • Identify maintenance issues in cabins or common areas and report them promptly to the Facilities or Maintenance team.
  • Maintain a high standard of sanitation, safety, and guest readiness throughout the property.
  • Communicate regularly with the Lodge Manager, Facilities Manager, and other team members regarding guest needs and property upkeep.
  • Ensure team members maintain professional conduct and appearance consistent with the company’s hospitality standards.
  • Assist with additional operational duties as assigned by lodge or property leadership.

Qualifications

Professional Experience

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or hotel operations required.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in hotels, resorts, lodges, or similar hospitality environments is highly desirable.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer and internet knowledge required.
  • Experience with hospitality or property management systems preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Occasional climbing or use of ladders may be required.
